Question by liveyourlife: How long do i wait until i can change a earring on my cartilage?
i got my cartilage pierced like 3 weeks ago. and at first it hurt but i cant even feel it now. I sleep on it, i hit and i don’t feel any pain or anything. I was going to change my earring soon. can I?

you’re supposed to wait 8 to 12 weeks. I changed mine right when it got to 8 weeks and it was fine. It would probably be fine to change it soon, but I didn’t want to risk it with mine.

Well a regular piercing is 4 to 6 weeks. A cartilage piercing is 8 to 12 weeks. But you can probably take it out around 6 or 7 weeks at the minimum.
no. you’re supposed to wait for 2-3 months. 2 months is enough if it’s completely healed. if you want to check, take it off then clean your wound, if you bleed because you took it off, don’t worry, that’s ok. but you have to clean it. – and wait for 3 months or if you change your earrings to early, and whatever you replaced your current earrings with are thinner, then your piercings might slowly heal and all of it would just be a waste of time.
